About ASK Roofing.

ASK Roofing and Building Ltd was founded in 2003 by Andrew Kendrick-Sands after more than a decade as a roofer on residential and heritage projects across Nottinghamshire. What started as a single-van repair business working for neighbours and friends has grown steadily over twenty-plus years into one of the most trusted independent roofing and building contractors in the East Midlands.

Today, we operate from two yards — one in Nottingham and one in Derby — and directly employ a team of fifteen roofers, bricklayers, carpenters and labourers. We have deliberately stayed at a size where the directors still know every customer by name and still visit most sites personally. That hands-on approach is what keeps standards consistent and customers coming back.

Over the years we have worked on everything from a simple leaking ridge on a terraced house to full two-storey extensions and natural slate re-roofs on listed Victorian and Georgian properties. Every project, large or small, is treated with the same care, the same written guarantees, and the same insistence on leaving a site cleaner than we found it.
