Chimneys take more weather than any other part of your roof and they are usually the first place we find problems. Left unchecked, a failing chimney can bring water into bedrooms and lounges, stain walls and ceilings, and in the worst cases become genuinely unsafe.
We carry out the full spectrum of chimney work including repointing with lime or sand-and-cement mortar, replacement of cracked or missing pots, new concrete flaunching, and stainless steel bird guards and rain cowls. We use properly dressed code 4 and code 5 lead for all flashings around the stack base.
Where a chimney has moved, cracked or is leaning dangerously, we are fully equipped to take it down brick by brick and rebuild it to its original height or reduce it below roof line where it is no longer in use. Structural engineers can be arranged where needed.
All chimney work is carried out from proper scaffolding with full edge protection for the safety of our team and your property.
