Natural slate and clay tile roofing is where traditional roofing skill really shows, and it is something we are genuinely passionate about. Whether you own a Victorian terrace, a Georgian townhouse or a period cottage in rural Derbyshire, we can re-roof it sympathetically using the right materials for its age and character.
We stock and fit Welsh, Spanish and Brazilian natural slate along with handmade clay plain tiles and pantiles from leading UK manufacturers. For conservation areas and listed buildings we regularly source reclaimed slate and tiles to match existing roofs perfectly.
All of our tile and slate work uses copper or stainless-steel nails, breathable membranes and traditional mortar bedding or modern dry-fix detailing depending on what is appropriate. Lead valleys and flashings are hand-dressed on site to give a finish you simply cannot get from modern alternatives.
